Hi there.
I'm a wife and stay-at-home mom. My life is not exactly thrilling, but it is my life. And I choose to love it. Every day.
My dream is to become a professional photographer (one day...), but for now, I only aspire to gain experience and learn learn LEARN.
I appreciate any and all feedback, I just want to improve on my fledgling photo skills, and on myself in general.

Emails are like chocolate chip cookies, made of ones and zeroes.
If you are feeling generous, you can send one to me here.

12 February 2010

Well, it looks like the apparent life-saving surgery our big ol' computer had a couple weeks ago, failed. It's been "blue screening" us almost daily since we got it back, and is running terribly slow, despite all our efforts to remedy that. I don't feel comfortable working with it, and I fear it's going to violently crash and burn at any time.

So. This sucks. I'm still taking photos daily, even though it's been a struggle at times to be motivated or inspired. However, I truly have no clue when I will resume posting them again.

I should probably use this "down time" to actually WRITE about stuff instead of just shooting it...

The kids are in a "game" phase - their favourite activity is playing Uno, Snakes and Ladders, The Ladybug Game or Pass The Pigs (seen here). Although Munchkin generally hijacks the pigs to play "farm" with them instead, which drives Monster craaaazy :)

I caught Monster quietly reading to Munchkin after he got home from playschool today. Moments like this do not last very long!

I hate to cook. Hate.it.with.a.passion.
My husband, on the other hand, really enjoys it. We watch the Food Network constantly, which always inspires him to create something new and unusual in the kitchen.
Today we tried polenta for the first time. I had no idea what it would taste like, but it was pretty good!

Monster: "Hey Mommy!"
Me, not looking up: "Yeah?"
Monster: "Look, we're monsters! Rawr!!"
Munchkin: "Yeah, I'm-a dottewr! Haha Mommy."
Me: *burst out laughing, grab camera*

They had soooooo much fun tonight with those tunnels.

My purple girl holding Purple Girl. That's her name. Sometimes she calls her Hakka (how she pronounces her own name) but otherwise it's just Purple Girl.

The sky looked so eerie tonight. Definitely wasn't northern lights... I'm betting aliens :)

My precious little man is a bundle of non-stop smiles and giggles these days. I can't get enough of him.

Munchkin asked me to take a picture of her today. I love how she holds out her pinky when she drinks, so refined.
